How Does Cryotherapy Work?
We use an upright cryosauna, where you simply step in. Once you’re ready, the cryotherapy technician will turn on the treatment. Nitrogen gas then is used to lower your skin surface temperature to approximately 32° in 30 seconds, where you will remain for the duration of the session. Is Whole Body Cryotherapy Painful?
No, you will feel cold but it is very tolerable. Unlike an ice bath, which can be painful and has direct contact with the skin, whole body cryotherapy treatment is dry with indirect contact. It is cold, but quick.
What Do I Wear?
Simply wear whatever clothes you have on. Once you arrive for your appointment, you will enter a changing room and disrobe. You will be given a robe with gloves and socks to wear in the cryosauna.
How Do I Feel After A Cryotherapy Session?
Whole body cryotherapy releases endorphins, so you should feel good after each session and receive a boost in energy. Many people report sleeping better the night after receiving treatment.
How Long Will I Feel the Effects?
For most people, the effects will last for 6 to 8 hours after receiving treatment. Optimum results are usually achieved after consistent treatment of 7 to 10 sessions.

Who Should Not Use Whole Body Cryotherapy?
Anyone who is pregnant should not use cryotherapy. Mothers who are nursing should receive medical clearance from their doctor.
Also, individuals with the following conditions should not have a cryotherapy session:
Severe hypertension (blood pressure greater than 180/100), hypothyroidism, acute or recent myocardial infarction (heart attack: need to be cleared for exercise), narrowing of valves, crescent-shaped aorta and mitral valve, unstable angina pectoris, arrhythmia, symptomatic cardiovascular disease, cardiac pacemaker, peripheral arterial occlusive disease, venous thrombosis, acute or recent cerebrovascular accident (stroke: must be cleared for exercise), uncontrolled seizures, Raynaud’s syndrome, fever, tumor disease, symptomatic lung disorders, bleeding disorders, severe anemia, infection, claustrophobia, cold allergy, acute kidney and urinary tract diseases, incontinence, age less than 18 years (parental consent required).
We may ask an individual to receive clearance from their doctor before receiving cryotherapy treatment
